I've been missing in action for over a month now...sort of...cause actually I do go online on a daily basis, but I just didn't feel like writing on my blog for a while...maybe it has something to do with being a full/time mom, college student and housewife at the same time? I think I just needed some time to get trough my final exams so I can completely dedicate myself to my other love - sewing, of course.
So, in the last month I've sewn a pair of Butterick pants - clover style, a pretty sumerry blue top from a Burda pattern, a self-drafted sleevless floral print top, a straight mid/length pink skirt & a pink halter top with elastic in the waist for a friend of mine...and I think that's about it...
Ooohhh, but I forgot to share my newest challenge: I am making a wedding dress! Me! A dear friend of mine is getting married next month and she asked me if I would make her a gown for her wedding, not the puffy Cinderella like dress, but more of a simple A-line one, with beaded lace in the waist and at the straps, with a hart shaped bodice. So, I drafted the pattern, I made a muslin, we altered it at the fitting and now I'm on my way to start cutting the beautiful fabric. I'll be taking lots of pictures and maybe I'll be able to organize them all in some kind of tutorial (just because I think it would be a new challenge for me).
Till then, I think I need to put some pictures on this blog, don't you think so? So I'll try to get my dear husband to take some pretty pictures of me in my new blouse and pants and I'll do a sum up post on everything I've sewn so far. Hopefully I'll do it tonight. If not, wait for it tomorrow.
Till then, have a great week and may the sewing mojo inspire you all! :D

About me
So, I've finally made my own blog after weeks of thinking about it and then chickening out. I think an introduction is in order at this time, so here it goes - some words about myself:
My name is Alecsa, I'm 25 years old, I'm Romanian and I live in Iasi. I've been married for 4 and a half years now and I have a 1 year and 7 months old son - Sebi, whom I dearly love and who occupies all of my time, day and night. You could say that I'm a stay at home mom and a housewife, but I do have outside the household interests: I'll be graduating this year from my master studies of clinical psychology, and by october I will also have a skill certificate as a beautician.
However, what I truly love is sewing. I wake up in the morning thinking about what I'll cut, sew and wear that day, I go to bed with more sewing plans than I'll ever have time to finish and I dream about all the beautiful things I'll make in the near future and how proud I'll fell in them.
My sewing assistant is, of course, my smart and curious little boy: he is fascinated with the sewing machine, the pins, the paper patterns and all the materials that I use.
This blog will be all about me: whatever I sew, like, do, feel...and anything else that comes to my mind, I'll write about it here. This is my little getaway corner, where I can take a brake from my hectic daily life. I'll be documenting my progress in mastering the art of sewing and tailoring 'cause I want to see just how far I can go with sewing my own clothes. My goal is to have, at a certain point in the near future, a wardrobe of me made garments that I would love and wear on a daily basis.
